About Under Floor Heating:

Under floor heating (hypocaust) was a system first used by the Romans around 60 A.D. Almost 2000 years later people around the world are still discovering that this type of heating has more advantages than they thought possible.

Everone knows - Hot air rises!

UFH provides more comfortable even heat with no draughts of hot air to stir up dirt and dust. The absence of unsightly radiators makes furniture placement easier and creates a safer environment with no dangerous 'hot to touch' surfaces.

Feeling warm all over begins with the feet,
a winter car journey proves that!

When your feet are warm, you feel warmer all over. With UFH the heat literally comes through the flooring material, (no vents or holes are used) the air temperature is always highest at floor level and decreases steadily toward the ceiling. The difference is amazing!

The moisture content of the room is also more stable and beneficial
to health. Unlike hot air, radiant heat is less likely to dry out your breathing passages, skin, and your furniture, fittings etc.

Because the air is dryer and has no rapid movement, it also feels several degrees warmer than it really is.

As a result you are able to
set your room stat lower without any noticable difference in comfort,
saving you energy and money.
