Contractors All Risks Insurance is an important extension / addition to a Liability policy. The cover provided is as follows: -

Contract Works - This covers loss of or damage to contract works and materials subject to a maximum value of (£100,000 or £250,000) any one loss. Unless otherwise specified you shall bear the first £500 for claims arising from theft or malicious damage and the first £250 of all other claims.

Own Plant - This covers loss of or damage to your own plant subject to a maximum value of (£15,000 or £25,000) any one loss. In addition, cover extends to include stock in trade whilst anywhere in the United Kingdom for a maximum value of £2,500. Unless otherwise specified you shall bear the first £500 for claims arising from theft or malicious damage and the first £250 of all other claims.

Hired in Plant - This covers loss of or damage to hired in plant subject to a maximum value of £50,000 any one claim. Unless otherwise specified you shall bear the first £500 for claims arising from theft or malicious damage and the first £250 of all other claims.

All Risks on Tools - This covers loss of or damage to hand tools and hand held portable power tools belonging to yourself and your permanent employees or leased by you or them. Unless otherwise specified you shall bear the first £50 of each and every claim.
