Why LPI?
Uniquely
LPI maintains gas in liquid form right
up to the air intake manifold.
This has two important
benefits unique to LPI: -
- Gas
can be metered to the injectors
far more accurately than with conventional
systems, even when manifold pressures
are constantly varying. This
allows the system to react instantaneously
to information received from the
engine management system. The
result is seamless performance and
better economy.
- The
expansion from liquid to gas causes
cooling of the air intake manifold,
which significantly reduces NOX
emissions and extends durability
of the engine.
This system gives
the operator: -
- Direct
replacement of diesel with gas.
Manufacturers’ power ratings
are not exceeded, power spikes are
eliminated and power and by definition
EGT (exhaust gas temperature) is
not increased.
- Improved
durability resulting from less oil
degradation and the virtual removal
of crankcase solids.
- Cleaner
emissions.
- Higher
substitution rates of diesel by
gas resulting in greater economies.
