Vehicle suitability

Is My Vehicle Suitable?

Not all vehicles are suitable for LPI installations.  LPI has been developed to work with new generation diesel engines, older vehicles, particularly those with mechanically controlled fuel systems, may not be suitable. If you have older vehicles in your fleet don’t despair.  DD can offer low-tech systems that work extremely well on mechanically controlled engines up to 50 years old.

Range & Refuelling

The LPI tank has an operational capacity of 104 - 128 litres giving the vehicle a realistic range of 750 - 800 miles between gassing in 420 hp, 12 litre vehicles running under load.  This is more than adequate for daily driving limits and will suit vehicles that return to base at least once every 2 days.

We arrange on site refuelling as part of our service so that vehicles can derv and gas up at the depot.  All we require is that a flat, preferably concrete base is provided with a single-phase electricity supply.  We do the rest.

In many cases bulk supplies can be installed even if the initial demand required for subsidised bulk storage is not there.
