Heather Wicks,
Associate of LIFE SUN LIMITED

Heather has worked as a professional coach since 2002, interlinked with a career in the National Health Service, following graduation from the Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring.

She has provided personal development coaching to a large number of individuals within the public and private sectors and has worked with Oxford City and Cherwell District Councils, Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust, Hampshire Primary Care Trust and Oxford City Primary Care Trust.

As a member of the faculty of the Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring, Heather contributes to the delivery of a range of qualification programmes, including those offered by the CIPD and was previously Lead Assessor for the School.

This is coupled with involvement as a visiting lecturer and coach supervisor to students on the Masters Degree in Coaching and Mentoring at Oxford Brookes University.

Having personally experienced the life changing power of coaching and been privileged enough to facilitate this in others, Heather is almost evangelical about the impact that coaching can have and completely of the belief that this power is within all individuals – it sometimes requires the catalyst of coaching to draw it out!

Over the course of a diverse career, Heather has been a clinical eye specialist, manager of quality assurance and governance in healthcare and currently is a commissioner of health services within the National Health Service.

She enjoys travelling to far flung places and living life by the principle of ‘should there ever be regret, it is better to regret the things that you do rather than those you don’t’!
