YOUR NEW WEBSITE GUIDE Here are some guidelines and general
information, please Print This Page or Bookmark (CTL+D) for future reference. There's quite a bit to read but don't worry if you are unclear on anything, call me and I will be very pleased to help. CONTENTS: 1. WHAT I WILL NEED TO GET STARTED --------------------------------------------- 3. WEBSITE PRICE GUIDE / FIRST YEAR OUTLAY --------------------------------------------- WHAT I WILL NEED TO GET STARTED: 1. I will need the content for your site - text and images. File types accepted: TEXT - .doc .rtf .txt .pdf Initially for design purposes I only need your "content" to construct ANY single page. 2. If you have existing "corporate branding", a logo on your headed paper etc., I can incorporate this within the design. Include samples when you send me your other images. (file types as above). I can design a logo for use on your new site. This is a FREE service however if you wish to use my logo design on other medias, business cards etc., a copyright release fee is required - Please ask for details. 3. If you have ideas on naming of pages or site structure etc. let me know (this is optional). 4. Give me the web addresses of 2 or 3 sites you like, indicating which elements you like about each. (background colour / font type / navigation / layout etc.) I will consider ALL the above information as a guide when designing your new site. As the next step I will construct a sample page and place it online at a secure location for you to review so that exact design can be "fine tuned" and agreed to your satisfaction. I do not use "out of the box" templates so getting the exact look you require is much easier. -------------------------------- SENDING ME YOUR INFORMATION: You can send your proposed content by post on CD, DVD or HARD COPY* to: Radical Solutions (Bristol) 18 Exley Close, Warmley, Bristol. If a confirmation is not received assume I have not received your information, contact me by phone to query. * Hard copy content by post is fine BUT will attract an additional admin fee for re-typing / scanning etc. I will agree a price with you in advance and BEFORE undertaking such work. -------------------------------- WEBSITE PRICE GUIDE / FIRST YEAR OUTLAY: "Display and promote" single page "Web Ad" sites - first year price from £49 fully inc. "Display and promote" sites 4 page deal - first year £99 fully inc. Full details on what is included can be found on my home page: http://www.radisol.com (see "Fact 2") Note: The 4 page deal means the site is effectively built FREE, clients only pay the first annual administration fee of £99 when the site is completed. "Display and promote" sites 5 pages or more - first year cost is based on £35 per page. (This includes all the benefits of the 4 page package above and the first year's administration fee.) Example - A ten page site would cost £350 fully inclusive for the first year. (Animations, specialised or custom scripts, interactive facilities, Paypal buttons, large numbers of online images and media file downloads MAY impact on price. I will advise on this when I know a little more about your specifications / site functionality requirements.) Site updates (fair and reasonable please) are included FREE in site hosting. REGULAR or PLANNED site updates, if required, will be a little extra, there are various ways this can be done. Please contact me to discuss best option for you. In most cases additional pages can be added to your site at any time for a one off fee of £35. User updateable pages suitable for most sites: Set up 1 page

would like a free system demonstration give me a call. --------------------------------------- THE DOMAIN NAME FOR YOUR SITE: Included FREE in all by web service packages is a "standard" .co.uk or .org.uk domain name. eg www.yourbusinessname.co.uk. You can seach for available domains here: http://www.radisol.com/domain-search.htm If you require domain linked email services (POP3) or a different domain type e.g .com, there will be additional charges, please ask for details. If you already have a domain, additional site features could be provided FOC to offset your costs, contact me to discuss. --------------------------------------- SITE RENEWAL AFTER 12 MONTHS: Renewal of sites between 4 and 19 pages is £99 PA (includes: "standard" domain, hosting, updates and online promotion). Sites smaller than 4 pages or larger than 19 pages - POA. -------------------------------- SEARCH ENGINE PLACEMENTS: With each website I include FREE submission based on 3 DIFFERENT 3 word phrases eg... 1. tv repairs bristol A few notes for guidance: Your search phrases should try to match what a potential customer might use to try and find your TYPE of product or service! Start considering your phrases NOW! - You don't need to supply them to me until your site is nearing completion (or later if placements are not that important). When ready let me have your 3 phrases in the order of their importance / relevance to your business. Repetition of words in more than one phrase can help with rankings (but only to a point). Try a few searches on Google using your search phrases to see if your main competitors are listed, if they are, the phrase is probably a good one to choose. Google (and other engines) treat plurals / mis-spels as DIFFERENT words. so if your chosen phrase is "emergency plumbers bristol" the page will probably NOT be listed if someone searches with "emergency plumber bristol". Placement of FREE submissions is becoming more difficult (but not impossible) as time goes on, sheer number of sites now going live worldwide every day (minute?). Search engines are also very keen nowadays to include you as a "sponsored link". i.e. charge you for inclusion so it's not in their interests to make life easy for "free listers". If placement is business critical to you, various PAID INCLUSION options for your new site are available. If you require more information on this I can let you have details of a specialist media promotion company who will be able to help / advise and provide a FREE quote. Free placements can take up to 4 months to appear BUT are not guaranteed!! Any free placements I achieve for you are on a BEST ENDEAVOUR basis. -------------------------------- Any raw content you provide remains firmly YOUR copyright. Designs, layouts, concepts, scripts and CUSTOM images that I produce for your new site remain MY copyright. Should you wish to use any of MY WORK elsewhere, a copyright release fee is payable.
